Brajadenta and his sister Brajamusti were killed by Gatotkaca after the rebels were defeated. The spirit of Brajamusti instilled into Gatotkaca's palms left and right giving him the power of God.
Gatot Kaca went to Awangga, where he was welcomed by King Kalabendana. He was declared the new ruler of this Awangga region. But he did not stay long. In the battle of Bharatayuda the king was defeated by the Duchess of Karna with an thrown weapon by Kunta Wijayandanu.
Gatot Kaca was killed by the Kunta arrows of the Duke of Karna. His brother Kalabendana, who was a hero of a cult in Indonesia succeeded him. Gatot Kaca's legacy lives on through the Indonesian wayang. The legendary hero is an example for Indonesian wayang artists and is an essential experience for foreigners.
